Dough:
- 1 cup self-rising flour (120 g) or all-purpose flour + 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup non-fat plain Greek yogurt (227 g)
Filling:
- 3 oz turkey pepperoni (84 g), chopped
- 3 oz smoked deli ham (84 g), chopped
- 1/4 cup 2% low-fat cottage cheese (57 g)
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce (63 g)
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella (28 g)
- 1/4 tsp each: dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder
Instructions
- If baking: Preheat the oven to 400°F, line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and spray with cooking spray. If air frying, skip this step.
- Prepare the pizza filling: In a small mixing bowl, combine pepperoni, ham, cottage cheese, pizza sauce, mozzarella, oregano, basil, and garlic powder. Set aside.
- Make the dough: Mix flour and Greek yogurt in a bowl until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface, then divide into 4 equal pieces.
- Assemble the pockets: Roll out each dough piece into a circle. Add filling to the center, fold the dough over, and seal the edges.
- Bake: Bake at 400°F for 17-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Air Fry: Spray air fryer with cooking spray, place pockets inside, and air fry at 400°F for 7 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Allow the pizza pockets to cool before serving as they will be hot.
- Enjoy with additional pizza sauce on the side.
