Instructions

  1. Prep Potatoes: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter with ½ tablespoon of olive oil. Add the cubed potatoes, minced garlic, chopped herbs, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender but still firm. Season with salt and pepper. Remove potatoes from skillet and set aside.
  2. Cook Steak: Discard any burnt garlic and herbs from the skillet. Increase the heat to high. Add ½ tablespoon of olive oil and the remaining butter. Once hot, add the steak cubes in a single layer. Sear for 4-6 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  3. Combine and Serve: Return the cooked potatoes to the skillet with the steak. Cook together for 1 minute to heat through. Serve immediately while hot, garnished with extra herbs if desired.
