Description

Indulge guilt-free with this Healthy Chocolate Hummus Dip! Creamy chickpeas blend with cocoa powder, maple syrup, and tahini for a sweet, satisfying treat that pairs perfectly with fruit, crackers, or cookies.

Ingredients

Units Scale

1 15 ounce can chickpeas, rinsed and drained

  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil or coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons tahini (can substitute almond butter or peanut butter)
  • 1/4 cup dutch cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt

Instructions

  1. Add chickpeas, oil, maple syrup, and tahini to a food processor and process until smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and sea salt; process until combined. If the mixture becomes grainy, add warm water, one tablespoon at a time, while the processor is running until smooth.

  3. Transfer hummus to a bowl and sprinkle with flaky sea salt, if desired.
  4. Serve immediately or refrigerate to thicken; serve with fresh fruit, crackers, cookies, or pretzels.

Notes

  • Hummus will keep refrigerated for up to 5 days.
