This Oven Baked Chicken Breast recipe yields juicy, flavorful chicken with a golden crust. Perfect for a quick and delicious meal.

Chicken:
- 4 chicken breasts, 150 – 180g / 5 – 6 oz each
Seasoning:
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano or thyme, or other herb of choice
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp each salt and pepper
Garnish, optional:
- Finely chopped parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven: to 425°F/220°C (200°C fan).
- Pound chicken: to 1.5cm / 0.6″ thickness.
- Mix Seasoning: Combine brown sugar, paprika, oregano/thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Prepare chicken: Drizzle 1 tsp oil on a lined tray, place chicken upside down, rub with oil, sprinkle with Seasoning. Repeat for the other side.
- Bake: for 18 minutes or until golden or internal temp reaches 165°F/75°C.
- Rest and serve: Let chicken rest for 3 – 5 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.
Notes
- If your breast is large, cut them in half horizontally for even cooking.
- This recipe can also be made with thigh fillets.
