Description

These Smoked Salmon Bites are a delightful appetizer featuring layers of creamy spread, smoked salmon, and soft flatbread. Perfect for entertaining or special occasions.


Ingredients

Spread:

  • 250g / 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Zest of 1 lemon (large)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup dill, chopped

Assembly:

  • 3 soft large wraps / tortillas (approx 23 cm / 9″ diameter)
  • 350480g / 12 – 16 oz smoked salmon slices
  • Table butter

Instructions

  1. Mix Spread ingredients together. Combine cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, lemon zest, salt, and dill.
  2. Spread half of the mixture on a flatbread. Layer with smoked salmon and another flatbread spread with butter.
  3. Repeat layering with remaining ingredients. Press down lightly, cover, and refrigerate for 4 hours.
  4. Trim edges and cut into squares. Serve with toothpicks, lemon wedges, and dill.

Notes

  • Use soft flatbread wraps without pockets for best results.
  • Butter helps salmon stick to the wrap for easier cutting.
  • Store assembled bites in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
